We are taught biblically to pray for Isreal and this is an especially critical time to be reminded of these teachings. Please read:
Praying
For Israel
Why
Pray For Israel?
1. Israel
is still the apple of God's eye and His inheritance, close to His heart
(Psa.148:14; Zech.2:8; Deut.32:8-11; Rom.11:29; Psa.33:11-12)
2. God's
faithful servants are moved to prayer and compassion over Israel's condition (Psa.102:13-17)
3. God
commands us to give Him and ourselves no rest until He establishes Jerusalem
and makes her the praise of the earth (Isa.62:1,6-7)
4. God
wants to give us the desire, anguish and gift of travailing prayer for
Israel's salvation (Rom.9:2-3; 10:1, 14)
5. God
commands us to seek the spiritual and physical good of the Israeli people
and to pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psa.122:4,6-9; Rom.15:25-27;
1:16; 2:9-11)
6. The
Jewish people's acceptance of Messiah Jesus (Yeshua) will lead to life
from the dead — world-wide revival of unprecedented magnitude (Rom.11:15;
Acts 3:19-21)
7. Yeshua
linked His second coming to Israel's national turning to Him (Matt.23:39)
Here is a recent message post from an old friend and retired minister, Don Finto:
Do not look to world media to find truth.
Listen to believers and listen to God.
If you would like a good commentary on the Gaza conflict and conditions in
Israel from a biblical perspective, I suggest you go to davidstent.org and read
Avner Boskey's daily comments, and/or go to revive-israel.org and listen to
Asher Intrater's revelatory biblical insights.
Let us pray for God's protection around Israel as we are taught to do
biblically, especially also for the soldiers involved in the conflict, and most
especially for the believers who are serving in the Israeli army. May the
protection of the Lord be around them, and around the innocent civilians in
Israel who are constantly under the rocket attacks from their enemies.
Let us also pray for the Palestinian, even for the suicide bombers, that they
will come to the revelation of Him Who has taught us to love both friends and
enemies. Let us especially pray for our Palestinian believing family.
And may all praise be to Yeshua, the Messiah of Israel and the Redeemer of the
nations.
