It seems at times that in our desire to accomplish great things for God, we sometimes fail to stop long enough and just say THANKS to the people who serve so faithfully. I mean, we all know that our reward is with God and He sees our service, but I want you to know that as pastor of New Hope, I also very much appreciate your service. It is a thrill to know as Paul said,
“We are fellow workers WITH God…”
We run, work, plan, pray, sweat, laugh, cry, get frustrated, get excited and it all can take a toll on us emotionally, physically and sometimes spiritually. There is no doubt that a lot of work has gone into getting New Hope ready for our Grand Opening Sunday. I know that after the day was over, we all took a collective sigh of relief.
A good, long refreshing exhale… ;) We did it! The day turned out to be a great day!
Though our reward is in heaven, we all must admit that Sunday was truly a rewarding day!! It made it all worth it when we opened the doors to welcome new families as our guests, watched the kids jump up and down about the new Adventure Bay Children’s Church and we, together, worshipped God and experienced His presence. The buzz and excitement of this special day and dreaming of all that God has in store for New Hope in the months and years to come was tangible and HOPEFUL.
You see, Sunday was a day of new beginnings, new life and NEW HOPE! My prayer is that God will use each of us in a very special way to build New Hope according to God’s plan for our church. I am convinced that the heart of New Hope is found inside of EACH of US...and you know what? Sunday I saw ALOT of Heart from you and I thank God for that and most importantly, I thank God for YOU!
Let’s all continue to invite others enthusiastically, serve God by serving others willingly, attend church services and events faithfully, give to God's work generously and pray fervently for the blessings and growth of New Hope Christian Fellowship. You see, these are exciting times and it is an honor that God has chosen US to be a part of planting New Hope in Shepherdsville, KY. Our lives have led up to this point and now God is asking that we simply trust Him and step up to accomplish it. "Expect Great things from God...Attempt Great things for God."
Remember, you are loved...by your church family, your pastor and most importantly by God....Let's be sure to always be looking for ways to give that love to others by Loving God...Loving People...Loving LIFE!
Working with YOU for HIM,
Nathan Schroeder, Pastor
