Fall Fun Fest 2006 @ New Hope |

Last night was a really fun and exciting night @ New Hope...
Our Fall FunFest was held yesterday, Saturday, November 5th and it was great fun for everyone. We kicked everything off around 4 PM and people were still leaving after 10 PM. There was a real excitement and energy in the air as we welcomed new friends and spent quality time with each other.
We were really thrilled to have J.E. and Linda Shofner come and be a part of the night. J.E. and Linda brought their two beautiful Belgiun horses and wagon for a really neat and memorable old-fashioned hayride. It was really picturesque as the bonfire was blazing, encircled by bales of hay for seats, the hayrides were being enjoyed by everyone in the distance. Thanks so much for your generosity J.E. and Linda in bringing your team to make our hayride a real success!!
By now, the smell of delicious popcorn and cotton candy is in the air. They say that all that sugar is not so good for the kids...But, man did they enjoy it! The fall funfest games were really enjoyed and as always, the inflatable Train bounce house was a huge hit for all the kids. (Even some of the mothers got in and had a blast as well!!) ;) Real fun!
The bonfire was picture perfect and was a welcome refuge from the cold. We were concerned that the night may be too cold, but we were blessed with evening temperatures in the high 30's, so it was just right! There really is something relaxing and comforting sitting near a campfire on a chilly night, isn't there?
In addition to all the fun, we enjoyed some really delicious food. No, really... I mean we had enough chili to feed an army...Not to mention the desserts and side items that were provided. It was a really great spread of food for everyone. Thanks to everyone who brought the goodies. The meal was also a Chili Cook-off so we had to vote for the Best Chili. I had not thought about it, but some of the men said that it is unfair to vote on the best until you have tasted them all. ;) So, it was their mission then to vote fair and they took this responsibility seriously as they tried another bowl...then another bowl...then another bowl. Now, I do not know how many bowls some of them ate, but I do know that there were over 12 pots of chili ;) A winner was finally chosen...Jennifer St. Clair won Best Chili 2006!!
Overall, it was a great night and alot of fun was had by all! We will be posting pictures in the photo gallery real soon.
